The Love of a Pup

If you know me at all, you know that Pippa is my love and joy. So when I have a happy pup, I am a happy girl.

On this Thanksgiving day of 2015, this little pup brought me so much happiness in her excitement to see the first snow of the season. I am thankful for Pippa Jane McVay.

Her catching these snowballs is the best!

As I am sitting here, pregnant and so far away from family, she makes me think about several things. The thought of another life bringing me so much joy is unfathomable. Pippa has been like a child to me. SHE is my family. She has been there for me when no one else was. She loves me no matter what. She has moved six times with me. She is living this crazy life I signed us up for and being as supportive as a pup can be 😉 There are major life events that this little pup has helped me through: moves, school, heartache, depression, marriage, and all the good other times too.

I know people think I’m crazy how much I love this pup. She is my family. And fortunately for me, she is welcoming to new members (you’re welcome, Mike). Now she is about to take on a little sister and I cannot wait to see the journey she will be on.
