McVay Day

Many girls dream of the day they can walk down the aisle in front of all of their friends and family to say “I do” to Prince Charming… my dream was a little different, and it came true!

On May 18, 2014, we said “I do” in Phoenix, AZ during a private ceremony. It was everything I ever hoped for.

My favorite part of the ceremony was writing our own vows. It was the most revealing and sincere part of our relationship that we were able to share with one another.

We were happy to have our parents as the honored guests and witnesses.

Another honored guest was our princess, The Pippa.

Unfortunately, because of the short notice we sprang on everyone, my brother and sister were not able to make it. But we were lucky when Daniel was able to make a quick trip with just enough time to stand by his brother’s side on our big day.

Our dear friend, David “Moose” Dreyer gave us the wonderful gift of officiating the ceremony.

At the end of the day, I got my own version of a prince: a fighter pilot!
