After 2.36 years in Korea, our time has come to say goodbye. We found out in October that we will be leaving 8 months early to begin our next journey.
Some of our favorite moments:
- New Years 2015
- having Avera and the journey of my pregnancy
- scoot dates
- the opportunity to travel
- Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Tokyo, China, the Philippines, Australia, Misawa and all over South Korea!
- & of course Fiend events
We were able to experience many different cultures and see the ins and outs of South Korea.
We will miss the food!
I specifically was able to get to know the Korean culture through their children.
And the two girls trips I took without him: Beijing and Tokyo
Mike learned a new jet, reached 1,000 hours in a fighter and turned one more dream into reality.
We spent major holidays with our family away from family.
We hosted two Thanksgivings.
Halloween 2014, 2015 and 2016.
New Years 2015!
New Year 2017!
The friends we’ve made will be in our lives forever.
We had our first child who was born in a Korean birthing center, has a Korean birth certificate and will always say this was her first home.
My pregnancy journey took up 1/3 of our time here and I am grateful for the support of the squadron and friends and the availability of Mediflower.
Pippa also made lifelong friends.
She won a pup pageant on base!
She celebrated 3 birthdays!
I worked in Mike’s squadron where I gained a better understanding of what he does. I will forever be grateful for that opportunity.
I embraced my role as a spouse getting involved with the Fiendettes and enjoying our unique and rowdy community.
Our first Fiend event in August of 2014 was a Whiskey.
And we continued to enjoy each Whiskey, Show, and Fiend event we were able to be a part of!
Mike was the Fiend Mayor.. twice.
Both of our children experienced snow for the first time.
It has been an honor and a beautiful time here in Korea. It is a sad day to leave, but a wonderful celebration of #ROKtales.
#McVagas here we come!!
