Moving to Arizona was sudden and strange as I settled in a place where I only knew one person. Now, as I am preparing to leave, I am sad to be parting with some very dear friends. This past weekend, we took advantage of the Belmont horse race and made it our excuse to dress up and have a party.
We made lots of food, found swanky hats, and shared lots of laughs.
Who would have guessed that all the way on the West Coast these two GA Peaches would find each other! I could not be more grateful for this blessing in the form of a friend. Allison Mackey Floyd and I happily collided and both knew a great friendship was destined. Her and her husband, Josh, have become a cherished part of our lives.
The party was hosted by Moose and Joanna Dreyer, in their home. They gave me a warm welcome on my arrival here, and stood by our side with encouragement and support through the beginning of Michael and I’s relationship. Moose even officiated the wedding! These two are an inspiration. We are thankful for their friendship and look forward to many more years of memories together.
Slug has been a great friend of Michael’s as a former, fellow member of the 74th. We were happy they could make the drive up from Tucson to spend quality time with the rest of us. I especially enjoyed getting to know him and his lovely wife, Andie, as I know how important they are to Michael.
All in all we had a wonderful time with such a good looking group!
